A short horror game with a gripping narrative, made in 4 days for the GMTK 2024 game jam under the theme 'Built to Scale.'
Playtime ~ 10 minutes
You wake up in a strange room, with nothing but a cake in front of you. Your hands are locked, and your left hand is trapped under a hand guillotine on the table. Your task seems simple: blow up the balloon. But be careful, not popping the balloon might be the only way to survive.
Controls
Inhale - Hold Space
Exhale - Release Space
WASD - Move the 2D character

Though the gameplay doesn't stand out in particular, I really loved how it was justified with the plot and the storytelling. The game has a great atmosphere that leaves an unsettling feeling and keeps you guessing the meaning behind all of these series of events.

THE MOST CURSED GAME OF 2024...SO FAR AT LEAST!!!
WOW! I literally froze at the end of the game and had no words to say. This was the most haunting, depressing and thought provoking experience with a horror game and not to mention a game jam project? You did this for a game jam? SHUT UP! LITERALLY THE BEST!
I loved every single detail, the ambiguity, the subtle atmosphere and that ending needs to be investigated, it was bizarre and unexpected. Phenomenal job!
